Studio Policies

  • Or boys! Or general energy! Kindness for other members, instructors, and anyone within studio is required for anyone who moves with us.

  • All sessions have a 24 hour cancelation policy. Canceling in less than 24 hours of any scheduled session will result in a late cancel and you will lose your session from your package or be charged in full. If you know you are unable to make it, please cancel so another member can take your spot.

    No shows — failure to cancel a session AKA ghosting us completely — will be charged an additional $25 fee.

  • We understand that every bridge is out, LSD is always clogged, and the CTA moves at a glacier pace. That being said, out of fairness to all of our members and our duty to preserve the vibes, if you are running more than 10 minutes late, you will not be permitted to join the session.

  • To keep the studio clean, please take off your shoes upon arrival. Once you are in the studio space, no shoes! Bare feet are preferred for sessions, baby wipes are available to give your feet a little clean before you’re on the equipment.

  • Save your texts, emails, and thirst traps for after your session.

  • Our equipment is chic and we want to keep it that way. If you have recently gotten a spray tan or have applied self tanner, please make sure you have thoroughly showered before joining us.

  • Filtered water is available at the sink. Sparkling water is in the fridge. If it can stain your teeth, it can stain our equipment. Keep it off the studio floor.

  • Please know there are cameras throughout the studio for security and liability reasons. Client or instructor filming during sessions is permitted! If you do not wish to be filmed, please let us know before your sessions and we will accommodate you.

  • All packages expire 90 days from purchase. If you need support, please contact us.

  • Dogs are permitted on a case by case basis. Please leave your kids at home, xx!

Privacy Policy

Le Movement LLC (“Le Movement,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates emimoves.com and provides in-studio movement, Pilates, and instructor-education services in Chicago, Illinois. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and studio operations, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors, clients, members, and instructor-education participants (collectively, “you”).

1 INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in the following ways:

A. INFORMATION YOU GIVE US DIRECTLY

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

  • Account and booking information entered through our booking platform, Arketa, including membership or package selection and session history.

  • Payment information processed through Arketa and its payment processor. Le Movement does not directly collect or store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

  • Health and intake information you choose to share for class safety, such as injuries, physical limitations, or pregnancy status.

  • Messages, forms, applications, or inquiries you submit to us, including instructor-education program applications.

B INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

  • Standard web usage data (pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location from IP address, referring pages) collected through our website host and any analytics tools we use.

  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 5 below.

C INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTIES

  • Booking, scheduling, and account data from Arketa.

  • Payment confirmation data from our payment processor.

  • If you interact with us through a linked social media platform, information made available to us by that platform's own settings.

2 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information above to:

  • Schedule, manage, and communicate about sessions, memberships, and instructor-education programs.

  • Process payments and manage billing through our booking and payment platforms.

  • Provide safe, appropriately modified instruction based on health or injury information you share.

  • Respond to inquiries, applications, and customer service requests.

  • Send studio updates, marketing emails, or promotional offers, where you have not opted out.

  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of our website and studio systems.

  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3 WE DO NOT SELL OR RENT YOUR INFORMATION

  • Le Movement does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we never have. We do not share your information with anyone outside the limited service providers described in Section 4, except where required by law or with your explicit consent.

4 THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share limited information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, under their own privacy and security obligations. These currently include:

  • Arketa — our booking, scheduling, and client account management platform.

  • Our payment processor, for processing membership and session payments.

  • Email or SMS communication tools we use to send confirmations, reminders, and marketing communications.

  • Website hosting and basic analytics providers.

These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform the services we've asked them to provide, and not for their own independent purposes.

5 COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and support basic analytics. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the site may not function as intended if cookies are disabled. We do not use cookies to sell your data or build advertising profiles for third parties.

6 DATA SECURITY

We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including relying on Arketa's and our payment processor's own security measures — to protect the personal information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7 DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8 YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You may:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.

  • Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal, contractual, or accounting recordkeeping requirements.

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails, or opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP.

  • Manage your booking and account details directly within Arketa. To exercise any of these choices, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9 CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.‍ ‍

10 ILLINOIS-SPECIFIC NOTES

  • Biometric data. Le Movement does not collect fingerprints, facial geometry scans, or other biometric identifiers, so the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) does not currently apply to our operations. If that changes — for example, if we adopt keyless studio access using biometric scanning — we will update this policy and obtain any consent required by law.

  • Consumer protection. We aim to keep our marketing and business practices consistent with the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

  • Illinois residents may direct privacy questions or requests to the contact information in Section 12.

11 CHANGES TO THESE POLICIES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of our website or services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
